We asked Mara Roszak, celebrity hairstylist and founder of ROZ Hair, to share the daily routines that keep her steady, clear, and ready through her busiest season.
We asked Mara Roszak, celebrity hairstylist and founder of ROZ Hair, to share the daily routines that keep her steady, clear, and ready through her busiest season.
Every year, millions tune in to the Oscars and instantly decide what they think about the hair.
What they don’t see is everything it took to get it there.
Mara Roszak does. She’s the one behind it.
As the hairstylist responsible for some of Hollywood’s most recognizable red carpet looks, and the founder of ROZ Hair, she’s spent years understanding what it really takes to create hair that holds up under pressure, and what it takes to sustain the person behind it.
We sat down with Mara to talk about what awards season actually looks like, and why what you do every day matters more than what happens on the carpet.
“Awards season really begins long before the morning of the red carpet. By the day of the event, the foundation is already there with foam and styling collaborations. I’m really mindful about taking care of myself, staying hydrated, and trying to keep up with my daily ARMRA ritual, which truly makes me feel like I’m supported.”

“I feel incredibly lucky to have a career that’s aligned with my passion, which keeps me always excited and inspired during busy seasons. But I’ve also learned that caring for myself is a major part of that. Simple routines like staying hydrated, getting outside, and spending time with family help me stay balanced.”
“After a busy stretch like awards season, revival for me is about taking small moments to care for myself. Spending time with family is key - focusing on my team at ROZ fills me up. Those moments help me recharge creatively and come back inspired”.
“Healthy hair starts with the fundamentals, hydration, thorough cleansing, and products that truly nourish the hair and scalp. When hair is healthy, it moves freely. That foundation is what allows a red carpet style to feel effortless and natural.”
“Absolutely. When hair is truly nourished, it has a softness and movement you can’t replicate with styling alone.”
“For me it’s about simple daily foundations, hydration, time outside, and small routines that help me stay balanced. My morning ARMRA ritual has become part of that, especially during busy seasons like awards season.”
“I truly love helping people feel like the most beautiful version of themselves. Hair is so personal, and being trusted with that is something I never take lightly.”
